THE FRANK CALLAWAY FOUNDATION FOR MUSIC

Sir Frank Callaway 1994

In recognition of the world-wide achievements of Sir Frank Callaway, the Frank Callaway Foundation for Music was established by the University in 1984 with contributions from Sir Frank's friends and admirers.

The Foundation has pursued the goal of stimulating music and music education activities both within Australia and internationally through the Callaway Centre.

The Foundation supports the full range of musical activities at the University and works to enhance the strong community and professional associations of the School of Music. The annual Callaway Lecture is supported by special contributions to the Foundation.

In 2000, the UWA School of Music named its professorial chair the "Callaway/Tunley Chair of Music" in honour of Sir Frank Callaway and Emeritus Professor David Tunley. The Foundation has launched an appeal to raise $3 million to endow the Callaway/Tunley Chair of Music in perpetuity.

The Frank Callaway Foundation for Music operates through the generosity of the many people who have admired and benefited from Sir Frank's achievements and those who support and enjoy the activities of the School of Music and the Callaway Centre. Further information about Foundation projects is available from the Office of Development, The University of Western Australia.
